The NIS2 directive is an amendment to the existing cybersecurity law in the European Union. The introduced regulations cover a larger group of companies than before, obliging them to apply stringent procedures related to risk management and incident response. It imposes obligations on companies to which it applies, including guaranteeing an appropriate level of security for networks and information systems and establishing incident response procedures. During the initial configuration of the console, we set up 45 items that are key to properly securing the Google Workspace instance. These include:

  • Securing access to accounts Including enforcing strong passwords and 2FA, account access recovery methods and mobile device management (MDM).

  • This includes restricting the sharing of data outside the organisation in applications such as Drive, Calendar and Gmail, as well as blocking Google Takeout.
