Merlins Beverages is the Romanian company producing vitamin aqua, the market leader in the vitamin water category, with a portfolio of five brands of premium soft drinks. Operating in a dynamic market such as FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), the company sought a reliable solution that would meet the needs of a growing business.
From the first batches bottled in 2015, within a ten employees company to the business of millions of euros today, Merlins Beverages has reached a core of almost 100 employees. Of the total people in the company, the adoption rate of Google Workspace office products is close to 75%, while 50% of them use the integrated applications on a regular basis.
The main challenge
After previously working with the Office 365 package, the team felt the need to move on to switch to a centralized, stable and secure communication within the company. Also, the lack of a hosted email service has caused fluctuations in the workflow, as well as other work inconveniences.
Therefore, the management has decided to look for a scalable business solution that grows with the needs and the size of the company.
Solution to the problem
Migrating to the cloud and adopting a fully integrated suite of collaborative office applications was the answer the company was looking for. Google’s most popular tools within the company include mail and the word and sheets processing apps – Docs and Sheets. Already familiar with the benefits of Google Drive, the app is also a favourite solution for storing documents and for close, real-time team collaboration.
