Blinkee.city is a company that perfectly diagnosed needs of the urban population. They offer a convenient way of avoiding traffic jams, looking for a parking spot or waiting for the bus. They provide urban dwellers with access to green means of transport, and at the same time help them save time and money. In just 5 years, this start-up from Warsaw conquered hundreds of cities in 7 European countries with a fleet of thousands of electric scooters and bikes, that can be easily rented via a reliable mobile app.
The challenge
Blinkee has one central office in Warsaw, but coordinators and customer service offices are located in many cities in Poland, Croatia, Spain, Romania, Sweden, Hungary, and Malta. The company needed a communication system that could be centrally controlled but used on the move across Europe.
In each of the cities where Blinkee operates, the coordinators carry out separate marketing activities. What was needed were e-mail addresses with the names of the cities that would forward correspondence to the mailboxes of the people responsible for the campaign.
The specificity of working at Blinkee requires that employees have continuous access to office software to view and edit files together. The diverse age community of Blinkee employees needed simple tools that would standardize office work habits.
We were astounded by the speed of Blinkee’s growth. When a 5-person crew grew several-fold in just a few weeks, we’ve decided to unify communication by introducing Google Workspace.
The solution
When the number of employees exceeded 10, an agile office solution was necessary. They’ve chosen Google Workspace because employees were familiar with Google apps – most of them used private Gmail accounts even for work-related matters. Another advantage of this software was the ease of adding new accounts and managing them – those features of the control panel were critical when the number of employees and conquered cities rapidly increased.
Google Workspace has proven to be the perfect solution for a company that operates over a large area, although it has one central office. The primary administrator of the instance has control of user accounts and devices. He can also monitor the strength of passwords and user activity.
The administrator has created email aliases for each of the coordinators. Thanks to that, all emails related to the area they operate are sent to the appropriate folders in one mailbox. Now, no message will escape the attention of the person responsible for managing promotional campaigns.
Google file editing apps have become very popular among Blinkee employees. They are readily used both in the browser and in mobile applications. The ability to collaborate in real-time accelerated the performance of tasks and improved communication in the company.
Using Google Workspace, Blinkee enjoys unlimited space for storing files in the cloud. Other solutions that offer similar freedom are more expensive and less functional. Since Blinkee has switched to the higher Google Workspace Business package, employees have gained the ability to transfer files in any format to the team’s drive, from where authorized users can download it and make the necessary corrections.
